Madrassah Taleem ul-Qur'an

Orphaned & Underprivelleged Girls

Join us on our mission to empower and educate. For oprhaned and undeprevilleged girls. Together we can bridge the educational gap for orphaned girls, fostering empowerment, change, and a happy environment. Your contribution can provide underprivileged girls with the tools for a brighter future. Breaking barriers, building hope and investing in a future of possibilities.

Madrassah Taleem-Ul-Qur’an is an independent academic girls’ establishment aiming to educate Muslim girls from nursery to metric level in a secure, happy Islamic environment. We provide an opportunity to study the secular curriculum concurrently with Islamic studies.

Sahl ibn Sa‘d (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two,” and he gestured with his two fingers, meaning the forefinger and the middle finger.

If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation [African Proverb]

About Us

Established in 1985 in Kharian, Punjab, our institution was founded by Haji Muhammad Ashraf with a profound vision. Recognizing the pressing need within his community, Haji Ashraf embarked on a mission to create a sanctuary for underprivileged orphan girls aged 4 to 18. His goal was not only to offer them shelter but also to provide a comprehensive education, fostering both academic and spiritual growth.

Driven by a deep commitment to education and empathy for the disadvantaged, Haji Ashraf meticulously curated a team of devoted educators and designed a rigorous curriculum. His efforts were aimed at empowering these girls to excel academically and lead fulfilling lives.

Prior to the establishment of our institution, there were limited options available for orphan girls in Kharian and its neighboring villages. Haji Ashraf's initiative addressed this gap in the community, offering a home and a promising future to those who had been marginalized.

Today, we proudly uphold Haji Ashraf's legacy by providing a nurturing environment where every girl is afforded the opportunity to thrive. We invite you to join us in our mission to positively impact the lives of these deserving individuals.

Two types of donations:

Sadqah - Voluntary Charity: Donations to a place of teaching and learning can be a means of both continuous reward (sadaqah jariyah) and passing on rewards to others (isaal al-thawab).

Zakaat – Compulsory Charity: This money goes towards those of our students who struggle to pay their fees and are eligible for zakat. Through this, not only are you fulfilling an obligatory act (fardh), but you are also receiving continuous reward for all that they learn and teach.
